The suger cubes are an urban prototype and is part of the specially developed repertoire of the Zukunftsbackstube.
From round to square. The Viennese sugar cube as a microcosm for a small housing universe. The sugar cubes as housing units are really based on the format of the real Viennese cube sugar in the dimensions 16 mm x 16 mm x 11 mm. Halved, the one-to-one scale is 8 m x 8 m x 5.5 m. In reality, the cube sugar is not a cube but a cuboid and can be laid or placed. Depending on the layout, living space is distributed over one or two levels.
Different constellations create compactness and compatibility in residential construction. A sweet structuralism for a living environment that can be customised at will.
