First of all, a backdecker is an English type of boat. The back in a backdecker has nothing to do with baking, but comes from the English word backside.
The peculiarity of the backdecker is that the entire foredeck is covered by a cabin. The peculiar cabin is raised in relation to the sides and is just as wide as the boat. It ends at the front with the stem. Classic backdeckers usually have a straight stem, a slender hull shape and a flat, vertical transom.
The design transfers the characteristics of the backdecker to a studio house.
