The Future Breakfast was one of the earliest events for the Zukunftsbackstube in 2020. The aim was to freely interrelate conventional frames of reference and to highlight the dimension of a microcosm. The picnic scene in Powers of Ten by Charles and Ray Eames happens to be a similar scene.
In the same year, the coronavirus broke out and the first lockdown followed soon after. The Zukunftsbackstube is a phenomenon emerging from a time of multiple crises and hyperobjects such as the pandemic and climate change. Time stood still and an end-time mood prevailed. Hybrid structures were rapidly developed and companies mutated into more future-proof forms in order to overcome the times.
The cult of idea and workshop at the Zukunftsbackstube is a spirit of this time. The Zukunftsbackstube is methodology, microcosm, mutant and modern manner of a new creative culture.
